The Cabinet Theatre Company, formed in 1999, creates original works for stage and media. Our repertoire includes new plays, musicals, performance art, experimental music, and video. After our first year in Detroit, the Cabinet relocated to Chicago where we plan to eventually operate our own venue. The Cabinet's unique brand of entertainment is strikingly unconventional. Our pieces often address the serious social and political concerns of the day with an irreverent lightness that is as silly as it is charming as it is stupid.
